MCenter Beam Areas

The MC7 areas are purposed towards long-term experiments with a turn over rate of months or even years. This beamline has the same secondary particle beams as MTest, but has the added capability of a tertiary beam line, which can produce pions and/or protons down to energies of 200 MeV. Most of the same facility infrastructure and instrumentation are available, but there are some logistical exceptions.

MC7-1

The MC7 south area is the furthest upstream side of the enclosure. This area has patch panels, and inert gas capabilities. It is also located in front of a roll-up door for easy access with a fork lift. This area has the same secondary particle beams as MTest, but has the added capability of a tertiary beam line, which can produce pions and/or protons down to energies of 200 MeV. Beam height is approximately 82-inches above the floor. Camera to view the apparatus in the enclosure is coming soon.

MC7-2

The MC7 north area is the furthest downstream section of the MCenter beam, with the beam dump located behind it. It is currently not equip to receive tertiary beam. (Only secondary).
